Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Curriculum Developer to join our dynamic Learning & Development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing innovative learning solutions that align with Aviva’s strategic goals and enhance our employees’ skills and knowledge. You will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and trainers to create engaging and effective educational content across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and update engaging and effective learning curricula, courses, and materials for various audiences and learning modalities (e.g., e-learning, blended, instructor-led).
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and determine appropriate instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, ensure accuracy, and validate learning objectives.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create interactive and impactful learning experiences.
  • Develop assessment tools and methodologies to measure learning effectiveness and program impact.
  • Manage curriculum development projects from conception through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in learning and development, educational technology, and instructional design.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in curriculum development or instructional design.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a large corporate or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration.
  • Certification in instructional design or learning technologies.
