Job Description
Oregon State University is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our administrative team as a Data Entry Clerk on a temporary contract basis. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone eager to gain valuable professional experience in a supportive university environment, as no prior experience is needed. Full, comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure your success in this role. You will be responsible for accurately inputting, maintaining, and verifying various types of data into our systems, contributing significantly to the smooth and efficient operation of our administrative processes. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and update various types of data into designated databases, spreadsheets, and other digital systems.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data before and after entry, cross-referencing information as required.
- Identify and promptly correct any data discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all sensitive information handled.
- Adhere meticulously to all established data entry procedures, guidelines, and quality standards.
- Assist with the organization, scanning, and digital filing of documents as needed to support data management efforts.
- Communicate any data-related issues, challenges, or system anomalies to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned to support administrative functions.
