Job Description
We are offering an invaluable clinical placement opportunity for aspiring rehabilitation therapy professionals at our Wodonga facility. This placement is designed to provide hands-on experience, supervised learning, and exposure to various aspects of rehabilitation therapy, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech pathology services. You will work alongside experienced clinicians, contribute to patient care plans, and develop practical skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment. This is an ideal opportunity for students or recent graduates seeking to gain practical experience and further their understanding of rehabilitation in a real-world healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and assist qualified rehabilitation therapists in daily patient care activities.
- Participate in patient assessments, treatment planning, and intervention delivery under direct supervision.
- Learn to document patient progress and contribute to case discussions.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas.
- Engage with patients and their families, providing support and information as guided by supervisors.
- Participate in team meetings, educational sessions, and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
