Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join our innovative team in Swift Current. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms for various business applications, including prediction, classification, and optimization.
- Perform extensive data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing to prepare large, complex datasets for model training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business analysts, to define problem statements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance of deployed models, making necessary adjustments and improvements to ensure ongoing accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science, and proactively identify opportunities to integrate new technologies and methodologies.
- Communicate complex analytical insights and technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and reports.
- Contribute to the development of data science best practices, tools, and infrastructure within the organization.
- Ensure data privacy and security compliance in all data-related activities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning, NLP).
- Experience with SQL and working with large-scale relational and non-relational databases.
- Solid statistical foundation and ability to apply statistical tests and interpret results.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for ML model deployment and management.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Experience with MLOps practices and tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the telecommunications or technology sector.
