Job Description
Join the Tesco team as a Home Delivery Driver in Exeter, delivering groceries to our valued customers. This role offers flexible hours to fit your lifestyle, and you’ll be provided with a company van to ensure you can perform your duties safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver customer orders to their homes
- Provide excellent customer service at the point of delivery, including checking orders and assisting customers
- Adhere to scheduled delivery times and routes, ensuring punctuality
- Handle customer payments and process returns as needed
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness of the company van
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or delivery problems promptly
- Uphold Tesco's standards for food safety and product integrity
Required Skills
- Full, valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic knowledge of the Exeter area or willingness to learn routes quickly
- Ability to lift and carry groceries and delivery totes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer-facing role
- Familiarity with handheld delivery technology
