Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Debt Collector to join our dynamic team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with customers to understand their financial situations, negotiate sustainable payment plans, and provide solutions that help them manage their debts effectively. This is a crucial role where excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are paramount. You will work in a supportive environment with comprehensive training, focusing on ethical collection practices and customer wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers over the phone to discuss outstanding debts.
  • Understand individual financial circumstances and offer suitable payment solutions.
  • Negotiate and set up realistic and affordable payment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and agreements.
  • Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and company policies regarding debt collection.
  • Provide excellent customer service while demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
