Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Demolition Offsider and play a crucial role in preparing sites for new development. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who are physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn the demolition trade. You will be assisting skilled operators and tradespeople, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. No prior demolition experience is required as full training will be provided on safe work practices, equipment handling, and various demolition techniques. We are looking for motivated individuals ready to contribute to significant projects and grow with our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist demolition crews with manual labor tasks, including debris removal, sorting materials, and site clean-up.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., hammers, pry bars, grinders).
- Follow all safety protocols and site-specific instructions diligently.
- Support heavy equipment operators by spotting, guiding, and ensuring clear work areas.
- Load and unload materials and equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to project timelines and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to safety procedures.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 Construction certification (can be obtained post-hire).
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
