Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Remote Environmental Compliance Reviewer. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those passionate about environmental protection and regulatory compliance. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive, full training to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in this vital role. You will be responsible for reviewing environmental data, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and contributing to Suncor’s commitment to operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive training program to understand environmental regulations, company policies, and review processes.
- Review environmental data, reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with federal, provincial, and internal standards.
- Identify potential non-compliance issues and escalate them to senior reviewers or management as appropriate.
- Maintain detailed records of reviews and findings using established systems.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to gather necessary information for compliance assessments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance review procedures.
- Stay informed about updates in environmental legislation and best practices (training provided).
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Familiarity with environmental regulations (e.g., AER directives, EPEA) is an asset, but not required.
- Experience with data entry or document review in any professional capacity.
