Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our dynamic team at Hyatt Regency Bridgeport Waterfront. This pivotal role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize hotel revenue, increase market share, and enhance brand presence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving results. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets for all hotel segments (rooms, F&B, events).
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the hotel’s digital marketing, public relations, and social media presence to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, travel agencies, and local community partners.
- Manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and optimal resource allocation.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for hotel leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with other hotel departments (Revenue Management, Operations, F&B) to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational efficiency.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our offerings and expand market reach.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies for luxury or full-service hotels.
- Strong understanding of market segmentation, yield management, and revenue generation principles.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in hospitality sales software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret market trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with the Hyatt brand standards and systems.
- Prior experience working with international markets and clients.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
