Job Description
Join our team as an Auto Parts Delivery Driver! This is a full-time position with the convenience of Monday to Friday only, daytime hours, allowing for a predictable schedule and evenings/weekends free. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering automotive parts to our commercial customers, ensuring timely and accurate service. We are looking for a reliable individual with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and safe driving practices. This role is crucial in supporting our local automotive businesses and maintaining AutoZone’s reputation for excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company delivery vehicle to transport auto parts to various commercial accounts.
- Verify the accuracy of parts being delivered against invoices.
- Load and unload vehicle with automotive parts, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, building positive relationships with clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Assist with in-store duties, such as stocking shelves and organizing inventory, when not on deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with store management regarding delivery schedules, issues, and customer feedback.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with local Grand Forks area routes or ability to quickly learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role.
- Knowledge of automotive parts is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
