Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our production team as a Paint Can Lid Pounder. This is an entry-level, full-time position responsible for the crucial task of manually securing lids on paint cans to ensure product integrity and readiness for shipment. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure your success. This role is essential to our daily operations and plays a direct part in our product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually place and securely fasten lids onto various sizes of paint cans.
- Operate basic tools or machinery (e.g., foot pedal lid press) to seal cans effectively.
- Visually inspect cans and lids for proper alignment and seal before and after pounding.
- Identify and report any issues with can or lid quality to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all factory hygiene standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Assist with other general production tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Basic physical stamina for standing, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and repetitive motion throughout a shift.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset but not required.
