Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Service Lead to join our dedicated team in Parramatta. This rewarding full-time role involves overseeing the delivery of exceptional community support services, ensuring person-centred care, and leading a team of support workers. You will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals, enhance their independence, and actively participate in their community. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of disability support workers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individual support plans (ISPs) in collaboration with clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support services that meet NDIS requirements and organisational standards.
  • Manage client caseloads, including intake, assessment, service coordination, and resolution of client issues.
  • Monitor budget adherence for client plans and operational activities within your service area.
  • Facilitate community engagement and inclusion opportunities for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Provide regular reporting on service delivery, client outcomes, and team performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery models and practices.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability services sector.
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex situations.
  • Sound knowledge of person-centred planning and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Disability Services, Community Services, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience with rostering and scheduling systems.
  • Advanced conflict resolution skills.
