Job Description

Outback Oasis Resort & Convention Centre is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team as Dishwashing Stewards. No prior experience is required – we believe in talent and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to ensure all dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans are clean and sanitised.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and equipment.
- Assist with the proper storage and rotation of cleaned kitchenware.
- Support the culinary team by ensuring a continuous supply of clean equipment.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling in the kitchen area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic English communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- No prior experience necessary – full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment (highly regarded but not essential).
- Current Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
