Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in logistics and supply chain? Target is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Frederick Distribution Centre team as Order Pickers. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure your success. This is a vital role responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders, ensuring our products reach their destinations promptly. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or RF scanner instructions.
- Ensure the correct quantity and type of product are selected for each order.
- Pack orders carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently after receiving training (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified or trained by Target).
- Perform quality checks on picked items to maintain high standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- No prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiarity with RF scanning devices (training will be provided regardless).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment (not required, but a plus).
