Job Description
Are you passionate about fashion, have a keen eye for detail, and love the thrill of discovering hidden gems? RetroRiches E-commerce is looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our growing warehouse team in Georgetown. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for our incoming vintage inventory, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and preparing unique clothing items for their journey to our online marketplace. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort and categorize large volumes of incoming vintage clothing shipments.
- Carefully inspect each garment for quality, condition, authenticity, and potential defects.
- Identify and differentiate between various fabric types, styles, and eras of fashion.
- Accurately assess garment sizing and ensure proper labeling.
- Recognize current and emerging vintage fashion trends to prioritize items with high market demand.
- Prepare items for the next stage of the e-commerce process, including steaming, light repair identification, and organizing for photography.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the sorting area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and achieve daily processing targets.
Required Skills
- A genuine interest in fashion, particularly vintage and unique styles.
- Exceptional visual acuity and attention to detail for inspecting clothing.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a busy warehouse setting.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to learn about different fashion eras, brands, and textile care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, fashion, sorting, or warehouse environment is a plus, but not required.
- Basic familiarity with e-commerce operations.
- Knowledge of various clothing brands, textiles, and vintage fashion periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and tracking.
