Job Description

Thread & Time Apparel Co. is seeking an E-commerce Vintage Clothing Sorter to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is crucial to our success, involving the careful inspection, sorting, and preparation of incoming vintage garments for our online store. If you’re a quick learner, organized, and excited about sustainable fashion, we want to hear from you. No prior experience in vintage clothing sorting is required; we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack incoming shipments of vintage clothing and accessories.
- Carefully inspect each item for quality, condition, and authenticity.
- Identify vintage eras, brands, and unique features that add value to garments.
- Sort clothing into designated categories based on style, size, condition, and material.
- Perform initial cleaning and minor repairs (e.g., removing lint, re-buttoning) as needed.
- Accurately document item details, noting any flaws or special characteristics.
- Prepare items for photography and inventory management systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sorting area within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce and inventory teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and fashion trends.
- Ability to identify different fabrics, styles, and garment constructions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory processes.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- An interest in vintage fashion, sustainability, or textile history.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, fashion, or warehouse operations (even if not in vintage).
- Familiarity with different fashion eras and clothing brands.
