Job Description
Join the University of Tasmania’s Learning & Teaching Innovation team as an E-learning Design Intern. This EdTech placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of digital education. You will support the development and implementation of innovative e-learning modules, contributing to projects that directly impact student success. This role is perfect for a motivated individual eager to learn about instructional design, multimedia development, and educational technology within a supportive university environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of e-learning content, including presentations, interactive modules, and assessments.
- Support the integration of multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video) into online learning platforms.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to refine course materials.
- Participate in quality assurance testing of e-learning modules to ensure functionality and accessibility.
- Research emerging educational technologies and pedagogical approaches.
- Provide administrative support to the e-learning design team as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in e-learning, education, and technology.
- Basic proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree program (e.g., Education, Communications, IT, Design).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with any learning management system (LMS) such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard.
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles or multimedia editing software.
- Experience with instructional design concepts or theories.
