Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart a career in an essential and growing industry? Cleanaway is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team in Armidale as an Entry Level E-Waste Processor – Dismantle Tech. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently dismantling electronic waste, sorting components for recycling, and contributing to our commitment to environmental sustainability. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and systematically dismantle various types of electronic waste (e.g., computers, TVs, small appliances) using hand and power tools.
  • Identify, sort, and separate different materials such as plastics, metals, circuit boards, and batteries for appropriate recycling streams.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
  • Accurately record and track dismantled materials.

Required Skills

  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety principles (training provided).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25kg, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment (not required).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one, sponsored by company).
