Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Education Assistant Intern to join our dedicated team at Hercules Road State School. This internship offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a primary school classroom setting, working alongside experienced teachers to support student learning and classroom operations. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals passionate about education who are looking to kickstart their career with practical, real-world experience. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal role for those with no prior formal experience in an education assistant role but a strong desire to learn and contribute.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily activities and lesson preparation.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students under teacher guidance.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Support students with special needs or learning difficulties, as directed by the teacher.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Assist with classroom organization and tidiness.
- Participate in school events and activities as required.
- Observe and learn effective teaching and classroom management strategies.
