Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist electrical engineers with project planning, design, and execution tasks.
  • Conduct basic electrical calculations, data analysis, and technical investigations.
  • Support field teams during site visits, inspections, and data collection.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and drawings under supervision.
  • Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
  • Shadow experienced engineers to gain insights into day-to-day operations and project management.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or related Bachelor's degree or Diploma program.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed at least one year of an Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) or basic simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).
  • Previous volunteer or project experience demonstrating practical application of electrical concepts.
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
