Job Description
Are you ready to jump-start a high-demand career in the booming green energy sector? Northwest Electric & Renewable is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as an EV Charging Station Installer Apprentice. No prior experience is required! We believe in investing in our talent, and we will provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with all the skills needed to become a certified EV charging station expert. This is an incredible opportunity to learn a valuable trade, contribute to environmental sustainability, and become part of a growing industry. A company van will be provided for travel to job sites after successful completion of initial training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of EV charging stations (Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers) at residential and commercial properties.
- Learn and apply electrical codes and safety standards relevant to EV infrastructure.
- Help with site surveys, material preparation, and equipment setup.
- Perform basic electrical tasks under supervision, such as wiring, conduit bending, and panel upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
- Participate actively in all training programs and continuous learning initiatives.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for company van operation)
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment
- Basic understanding of tools and safety practices
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles or prior hands-on experience in a trade
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (can be obtained during training)
- Experience with customer service or client interaction
