Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our logistical operations in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire supply chain process, from warehousing and inventory management to transportation and distribution, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in logistics management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Manage daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
- Oversee and optimize fleet management, route planning, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations, to align logistics activities with overall business goals.
- Identify and resolve logistics-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize complex logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and transportation principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CILT, APICS).
- Experience with international shipping and customs regulations.
- Familiarity with lean logistics principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
