Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team in Cranston, Rhode Island. This is a unique opportunity for qualified international candidates, as we are providing a Certificate of Sponsorship to facilitate your relocation and employment in the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and adherence to all safety standards. You will work on a variety of complex machinery and control systems, contributing directly to our production capabilities and technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems quickly and efficiently.
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), motor controls, and other automation systems.
- Adhere strictly to all electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on system upgrades and new installations.
- Conduct safety inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including three-phase power, motor controls, and PLCs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Knowledge of national and local electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety practices and procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with specific PLC brands (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Associate's degree or vocational training in Electrical Technology.
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems.
