Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Event Student Intern for a Paid Production Placement. This is an unparalleled opportunity for a student eager to break into the dynamic world of event production. You will work alongside our experienced team, gaining practical skills in various aspects of event planning, logistics, and on-site management. This placement is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the industry, preparing you for a successful career in events. No prior experience is required, as full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event planning and coordination tasks, including vendor communication and scheduling.
- Support the production team with on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Help manage event inventory, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct research for potential venues, suppliers, and entertainment options.
- Prepare event documentation, including schedules, run sheets, and production manuals.
- Provide administrative support to the event management team.
- Learn and apply industry best practices for health, safety, and compliance at events.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for event improvement and innovation.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a relevant tertiary program (e.g., Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality).
- Strong passion for the events industry and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proactive attitude and strong organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
