Job Description
Rydges Fremantle is seeking an experienced and dynamic Events & Banquets Manager to lead our events team. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial client consultation to post-event follow-up. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of events, including corporate meetings, weddings, and special celebrations, ensuring seamless operations and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all event inquiries and bookings, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Oversee the planning and execution of all banquets and events, from concept to completion.
- Coordinate with culinary, front office, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Prepare detailed event orders, floor plans, and staffing schedules.
- Manage event budgets, billing, and financial reconciliations.
- Supervise and train banqueting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in events management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing diverse events.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Delphi or similar event booking systems.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- First Aid certification.
