Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fashion Law & Brand Protection Intern to join our dynamic Intellectual Property practice group in Hamilton. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fascinating intersection of luxury fashion and legal protection. The successful candidate will support our team of lawyers in safeguarding the intellectual property rights of high-profile fashion clients, assisting with critical legal research, trademark applications, enforcement actions, and anti-counterfeiting initiatives. This role is ideal for an individual with a keen interest in legal careers, particularly within brand management and intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on various aspects of fashion law, intellectual property, and brand protection.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of trademark applications and other IP-related documents.
- Support lawyers in drafting legal memoranda, opinions, and correspondence related to IP infringement and enforcement.
- Monitor online marketplaces and social media for potential brand misuse and counterfeiting activities.
- Help organize and manage case files, evidence, and legal documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on client strategies and legal challenges.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the IP team.
Required Skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.

- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Currently enrolled in an accredited Juris Doctor (JD) program or a relevant legal studies/paralegal program.
