Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Federal Buildings Security Admin to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This crucial role involves providing administrative support to security operations within federal government buildings, ensuring smooth processes, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to all security protocols. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the security integrity of sensitive environments. A comprehensive background check is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain security access control systems and databases.
- Process security clearances and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule security personnel for various assignments.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on security incidents and daily activities.
- Handle incoming communications, including phone calls and emails, related to security operations.
- Assist with visitor management and access procedures for federal buildings.
- Maintain confidential records and documentation with the highest level of discretion.
- Liaise with federal government clients and internal security teams.
- Order and manage security supplies and equipment inventory.
- Provide general administrative support to the security management team.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of administrative or clerical experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive federal background check and maintain security clearance.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
