Job Description
Join GardaWorld as an Unarmed Federal Courthouse Security Guard in Moncton, New Brunswick. This is a vital role where you will be responsible for maintaining safety and security within a federal courthouse environment. Your presence will deter unauthorized activities, ensure the smooth operation of court proceedings, and provide a secure atmosphere for judges, staff, and the public. We are seeking individuals with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to public service. Full training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped for this important role.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
- Control access points, verify identification, and manage visitor logs.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, both interior and exterior.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations according to established protocols.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards.
- Assist individuals with directions and provide general information.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and access control systems.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid Security Guard license in New Brunswick.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, customer service, or public-facing roles.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal security regulations and protocols.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
