Job Description
PNC Bank is seeking a dedicated and organized Filing & Post Room Clerk to join our team in Rockford, IL. This is an immediate start, entry-level position perfect for individuals looking to begin their career in a supportive corporate environment. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining organized physical and electronic filing systems, and providing general administrative support. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and accurately distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to the appropriate departments or individuals.
- Process all outgoing mail, including weighing, franking, and preparing packages for dispatch in accordance with postal regulations.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Retrieve and deliver documents as requested by various departments, ensuring confidentiality and timeliness.
- Assist with scanning, copying, and archiving important documents.
- Ensure the post room and filing areas are kept tidy, organized, and secure at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures regarding document handling, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Provide general administrative assistance and support to team members as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical capability to lift and move boxes up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative environment is a plus, but not required for this entry-level role.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment such as photocopiers or mail franking machines is a bonus.
