Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team, providing essential catering services within hospital and aged care environments in Oxford. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic delivery of food and beverage services, directly contributing to the well-being and recovery of patients and residents. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to patients and residents, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas and patient rooms.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and serving areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Replenish food and beverage supplies as needed.
- Interact positively and respectfully with patients, residents, visitors, and staff.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including HACCP procedures.
- Report any food safety concerns or equipment malfunctions promptly.
