Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as High-End Furniture Delivery & Assembly Specialists. This isn’t just a delivery job; it’s about providing a ‘white glove’ service where exceptional customer interaction, careful handling, and expert assembly are paramount. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport, flawless setup, and precise installation of luxury furniture in our clients’ homes, leaving them with a truly premium experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport high-end furniture items, ensuring their protection from damage.
- Perform meticulous pre-delivery inspections to confirm product quality and completeness.
- Accurately assemble various types of furniture in clients' homes according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Provide a superior 'white glove' service, including careful placement, minor adjustments, and removal of all packaging debris.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Complete all delivery paperwork and reports accurately and promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and tools.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and dispatch to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent in Alberta) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy and bulky furniture items (up to 75 lbs regularly).
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools required for furniture assembly.
- Demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various residential settings.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in furniture delivery, assembly, moving, or a related 'white glove' service industry.
- Experience working with luxury goods or in a client-facing role that requires high standards of service.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, or diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of furniture construction and materials.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification is an asset.
