Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources (HR) Director to lead our HR department in Arlington, Virginia. This critical leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support our overall business objectives, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic HR leadership, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and organizational development. This position offers visa sponsorship support for qualified international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and equitable.
- Lead employee relations efforts, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
- Manage HR budget and optimize resource allocation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR-related matters.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Director or in a similar senior HR role (minimum 10 years).
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- Experience working in a global organization or with diverse international teams.
- Familiarity with immigration processes and visa sponsorship procedures.
