Job Description
RBC is seeking a talented Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our dynamic security team in Moncton, NB. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IAM solutions that safeguard our critical assets and client data. This position is vital for ensuring secure access controls across our enterprise systems and applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement IAM solutions, including identity provisioning, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM).
- Administer and support existing IAM infrastructure and tools (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for IAM processes and system integrations.
- Perform routine security audits, analyze logs, and respond to IAM-related incidents and requests.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to integrate new applications and services with IAM platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for IAM policies, procedures, and configurations.
- Stay current with emerging IAM technologies, threats, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) engineering or a related cybersecurity field.
- Solid understanding of IAM principles, protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP), and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major IAM platform (e.g., Okta, Azure Active Directory, SailPoint, CyberArk).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts and identity services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or relevant vendor-specific IAM certifications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in an IAM context.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX) and their impact on IAM.
