Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Incident Response Coordinator to join our operations on the Gold Coast. This crucial role is responsible for coordinating immediate responses to operational incidents within our dynamic transport network, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You will be the central point of contact during incidents, orchestrating communication and resources to resolve issues swiftly and effectively. This position offers a high hourly rate commensurate with the critical nature of the role and the expertise required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational incidents within the designated transport region.
  • Coordinate rapid response teams, involving internal departments, external services, and emergency personnel as required.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans and protocols, ensuring all stakeholders are trained and aware.
  • Monitor real-time incident status, providing timely updates to senior management and relevant parties.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain comprehensive incident logs, documentation, and reporting in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with authorities and external partners during major incidents.
  • Ensure all incident management activities prioritize safety, environmental protection, and operational continuity.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of incident management processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in incident management, operations coordination, or a similar role within the transport, logistics, or emergency services sector.
  • Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in incident management software and communication tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking.
  • Solid understanding of transport safety regulations and operational procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Emergency Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Incident Command System (ICS) or similar incident management frameworks.
  • Experience with large-scale transport networks or complex logistical operations.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to our international operations.
