Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organised Information Processing Clerk to join our public sector team in Broadbeach, Gold Coast. This full-time, Monday to Friday role involves accurate and efficient processing of a wide range of information, contributing to the smooth operation of government services. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong administrative skills, and a commitment to public service values. Full training on specific government systems and protocols will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update data into various government databases and systems.
  • Process, scan, and file documents, ensuring proper record-keeping and accessibility.
  • Verify information for completeness and accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, both electronic and physical.
  • Generate reports and summaries as required by departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive public information.
  • Provide administrative support to team members and other departments as needed.
  • Adhere to all public sector policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative or data entry experience (minimum 12 months).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with government or large organisational databases.
  • Knowledge of public sector administrative procedures.
  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Understanding of information management principles.
