Job Description
Join FedEx Supply Chain as an Inventory Planning & Control Intern and gain invaluable hands-on experience in the dynamic world of logistics and supply chain management. This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals to learn the foundational principles of inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and operational efficiency within a leading global logistics provider. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced Inventory Planning & Control team, contributing to real-world projects and initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with data collection and analysis related to inventory levels, forecasts, and product movement.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of inventory reports and dashboards.
- Learning and applying inventory planning methodologies and tools under direct supervision.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand operational challenges and contribute to solutions.
- Participating in inventory cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
- Documenting processes and procedures to improve departmental efficiency.
- Contributing to special projects designed to enhance inventory accuracy and control.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, or a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some foundational coursework or understanding of supply chain, logistics, or inventory management concepts.
- Previous experience with data entry or administrative tasks is a plus, but not required.
