Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Investment Banker to join our dynamic team in Warrington. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in advising clients on complex financial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital raises. You will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis, developing detailed valuation models, and preparing compelling presentations for clients and internal stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile deals and contribute significantly to our clients’ strategic growth and financial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute M&A transactions, debt and equity capital raises, and other strategic advisory mandates.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, including valuation, LBO, and merger models.
- Prepare detailed pitch books, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
- Conduct in-depth industry research and competitive analysis.
- Manage due diligence processes, collaborating with legal, accounting, and other advisors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their strategic objectives and financial needs.
- Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc Finance) or CFA designation.
- Experience with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon).
- Prior experience in a specific industry sector (e.g., TMT, Healthcare, Industrials).
- Proven track record of successful deal execution.
