Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Operations Manager to lead our dynamic IT operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our critical IT infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management, infrastructure oversight, and team leadership. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a global enterprise environment. This is a hybrid position based in our San Jose office, offering flexibility while promoting collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT operations specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and applications.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including ITIL frameworks.
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize disruption and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent outages and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, security, and business units, to align IT operations with business goals.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and embrace new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex IT infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of IT service management principles, preferably ITIL certification.
- Proficiency in network administration, server management (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools and incident response procedures.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolutions.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working in a global enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, or similar industry-recognized credentials.
