Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team, specifically supporting our education sector clients across multiple sites in and around the Perth metropolitan area. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing timely technical assistance to staff and students. You will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, maintaining network connectivity, and supporting educational technology tools. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive first and second-level IT support to staff and students across multiple educational sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues for desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and other peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and educational platforms.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and network access in Active Directory and O365 environments.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and internet access.
- Perform regular system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance.
- Document all support requests, resolutions, and system configurations accurately.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT best practices and new technologies.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and IT managers on larger projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure data security and privacy compliance across all supported systems.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive).
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- Experience working in an educational environment or with multi-site support.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace administration.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
