Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the setup, rigging, and de-rigging of lighting equipment on-site and in the warehouse.
- Learn to prepare, test, and maintain lighting fixtures, control desks, and associated cabling.
- Support the team during live events, installations, and studio operations, ensuring smooth execution of lighting plans.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Undertake general warehouse duties, including inventory management, equipment cleaning, and organisation.
- Proactively engage with training opportunities and continuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills.
- Contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting minor technical issues under supervision.
Required Skills
- A strong interest in lighting, live events, or entertainment technology.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Basic understanding of electronics or technical equipment is a plus, but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment, and work in various environments (e.g., at height, extended periods on feet).
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by project schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Any previous experience, even voluntary, in theatre, school productions, or events is beneficial.
- A valid UK driving license (desirable, but not essential for initial hire).
