Job Description

Are you passionate about live music and looking to kickstart your career in professional audio? Wigwam Acoustics is seeking a motivated and physically fit Live Sound Engineering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ropes of live sound production, assist experienced engineers, and contribute to the success of high-profile concerts and festivals across the UK. Full training will be provided, but a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to perform heavy lifting are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead sound engineers with the setup, operation, and strike of audio equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks with audio gear, including speakers, amplifiers, and cables.
  • Stage and cable various sound systems according to technical specifications.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site and in the warehouse.
  • Learn and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Be a proactive and supportive member of the production team.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25kg) and manual labour for extended periods.
  • Strong physical stamina and a willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Eagerness to learn about live audio production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of audio cables and connectors.
  • Previous experience in a physically demanding role or events.
  • Interest in music, live events, or sound technology.
  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Forklift certification (not essential, but a plus).
