Job Description
Join the City of Fremont’s dedicated Youth Offending Team as an Assistant and play a crucial role in supporting young individuals to make positive changes in their lives. This rewarding entry-level position offers comprehensive training and an opportunity to contribute significantly to youth development and community safety. You will work within a supportive team environment, assisting in the delivery of intervention programs, maintaining records, and engaging with young people under supervision. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth work, social justice, and making a tangible difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Youth Offending Officers in implementing supervision plans and intervention programs for young people.
- Support with administrative tasks, including data entry, report preparation, and maintaining accurate case records.
- Facilitate and participate in group activities, workshops, and one-on-one sessions with young people.
- Communicate effectively with young people, families, and partner agencies, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Help monitor young people's progress and contribute to reviews of their intervention plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements, especially those related to safeguarding.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
