Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Mattress Stitching Line Helper to join our manufacturing team in Nashville, TN. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are eager to learn the foundational skills of mattress production. As a Stitching Line Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled technicians, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, maintaining production quality, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our stitching operations. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead stitchers and machine operators in the assembly and finishing of mattress components.
- Load and unload materials onto the stitching line, ensuring proper positioning and alignment.
- Perform basic quality checks on finished and in-process products to identify any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Transport materials and finished goods within the production area as needed.
- Support team members by performing various tasks to ensure production targets are met.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and quality control guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
