Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Metal Polishing Machine Feeder to join our busy production team in Barrie. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading metal parts onto automated polishing machines, ensuring a smooth and continuous workflow. This position involves working in a manufacturing environment that can be dusty at times, so a commitment to safety and wearing provided personal protective equipment (PPE), including goggles, is essential. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload various metal parts onto automated polishing machines according to production schedules.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure proper feeding and identify any potential issues.
- Conduct basic quality checks on polished parts for defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols and procedures, including consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, gloves, and ear protection.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with other general production tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 25 kg.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
- Willingness to learn new processes and machine operations through on-the-job training.

- Familiarity with a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical processes or machinery.
