Job Description
Join Discount Tire as a Mobile Tire Fitting Technician and become a vital part of our on-demand service team in the Pittsburgh area. This full-time position comes with a fully equipped service van, allowing you to provide expert tire services directly to customers at their location. You will be responsible for tire installations, repairs, rotations, and balancing, ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. This role operates on an on-call roster, requiring flexibility and readiness to respond to customer needs outside of standard business hours, reflecting our commitment to rapid and reliable service. Key Responsibilities
- Perform mobile tire installations, repairs, rotations, and balancing services at customer locations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires and wheels, providing accurate recommendations to customers.
- Utilize company-provided equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain the service van, ensuring it is well-stocked, clean, and in good working order.
- Manage service calls on an on-call roster, responding promptly and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining services and charges clearly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital service records accurately.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive service, preferably tire-related.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy tires and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility to work on an on-call roster, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mobile technician.
- ASE certification (e.g., A4 Suspension & Steering, A5 Brakes).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiarity with various tire brands and vehicle types.
