Job Description
Join the Woolworths team as a Morning Cleaner, playing a vital role in ensuring our store environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for both our customers and team members. This part-time rostered position involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness during morning hours before the store’s busiest periods. We are looking for a reliable and meticulous individual who takes pride in their work and can contribute to a positive shopping experience. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Wipe down surfaces, shelves, and checkout areas.
- Clean staff rooms and other back-of-house areas.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Physical stamina for cleaning duties (e.g., bending, lifting, standing for extended periods)
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or similar role is an advantage, but not essential
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures
