Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and attentive individual to join our team as a Museum Cloakroom Attendant. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a quiet and supportive environment, providing essential service to our visitors. As a Cloakroom Attendant, you will be responsible for warmly greeting guests, securely managing their personal belongings, and contributing to a positive and seamless museum experience. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills and a friendly demeanor who enjoys contributing to a cultural institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome museum visitors upon their arrival.
- Receive, tag, and securely store coats, bags, and other personal items in the cloakroom.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and tidy cloakroom area throughout your shift.
- Accurately retrieve stored items for visitors upon presentation of their claim ticket.
- Provide basic directional assistance and answer general inquiries about the museum's layout and facilities.
- Adhere to all established security and safety protocols for item handling and storage.
- Assist visitors with special needs or accessibility requirements related to the cloakroom service.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
