Job Description
Are you passionate about the outdoors and eager to start a career protecting and sharing our natural heritage? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level National Park Rangers. This is a unique opportunity to live and work amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Northumberland National Park. No prior experience as a Ranger is required; we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. You will play a vital role in maintaining the park, engaging with visitors, and contributing to conservation efforts, all while developing a deep understanding of park management and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the maintenance of footpaths, bridleways, and park infrastructure.
- Engage positively with park visitors, providing information, guidance, and promoting responsible use of the park.
- Support conservation projects, including habitat restoration and wildlife monitoring.
- Conduct routine patrols to ensure visitor safety, enforce park regulations, and report any issues.
- Participate in educational and interpretive programs for schools and community groups.
- Assist in emergency response situations, including search and rescue support and first aid.
- Record and report data related to visitor numbers, wildlife sightings, and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with volunteers and local communities on various park initiatives.

- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
