Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Nurses (NICU) to join our esteemed team through our International Sponsorship Program. This is a unique opportunity for internationally trained nurses to bring their expertise to a leading healthcare institution in the United States. You will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and outcomes. This role involves comprehensive training, mentorship, and support throughout the immigration and licensure process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill neonates, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and documenting care accurately.
  • Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, such as ventilators, incubators, and monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support families regarding their infant's condition, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, shift handovers, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Act as an advocate for neonates and their families, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Required Skills

  • Valid Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current nursing license in home country, with eligibility for NCLEX-RN and North Carolina licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent, continuous experience as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level III or IV preferred).
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) sufficient to pass communication assessments for US licensure.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other advanced nursing certifications.
  • Previous experience with international healthcare systems.
  • Certifications such as BLS, PALS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
