Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Night Shift Guard to join our team on a part-time roster in Redcliffe, QLD. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment during non-business hours. You will be responsible for patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to alarms, and ensuring the protection of property and personnel. This position offers a steady part-time schedule, ideal for individuals seeking consistent night work with a reputable security firm. Full training will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped for all aspects of this important role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated premises, both internal and external, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, fire, and vandalism.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to identify potential threats or incidents.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and emergency situations, assessing the situation and escalating as necessary.
- Write detailed incident reports, daily logs, and other documentation as required.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for entry and departure.
- Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed meticulously.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Communicate effectively with emergency services, management, and colleagues when required.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 1 Security Officer Licence (Queensland)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality
- Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and stand for extended periods
- Ability to maintain composure and react professionally in stressful situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role (though full training is provided for motivated candidates)
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport
- Knowledge of local security protocols and procedures
- Advanced de-escalation training
